Do you have a dream to write a story but haven’t started?

Or you have started, but you’ve gotten stuck along the way?

I’ve learned a lot working on my debut fantasy novel, and along the way I’ve found something that makes the journey that much easier.

If you’re looking to finish your writing goals this year, let me share with you what it is and what I’m doing about it.

  1. Going it alone
  2. The State of Socials
  3. The Wizarding Way

Listen to this post narrated by me here:

Going it alone

A wise person once said, “one person may be defeated… but a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

I’ve found this true in life and with writing. When I go on my own (in knowledge, motivation, or skills) I find that I quickly lose steam and eventually burn out.

I have almost quit writing several times over the last few years. I’ve gotten stuck, discouraged, and unsure how to move forward with my book.

But there is something that has helped me turn things around many times and has helped me to keep going:

A supportive creative community.

It is amazing how kind a word here and there can make such a difference. I find myself reminded of why I’m doing what I’m doing, and I feel my creativity rekindled.

The State of Socials

I consider myself lucky to have made friendships with people from the writing community on socials.

However, as it is with many of us, posts will sometimes go unseen or get low to no engagement. This can be disheartening, on top of being stuck in our writing.

Have you found this for yourself? You want to get unstuck, but when you post you feel like you’re shouting into the void?

The Wizarding Way

I believe there is a better way. As I’ve looked back over my journey of getting my book to the place it is now, I see that there was one area I wish it had existed for me.

With this in mind, I’m happy to announce the launch of the Creative Wizard Community 🎉

Here we will share our weekly or monthly goals for accountability and get positive reinforcement. Not dependent on an algorithms, these shared goals also give a way for people to check in on our progress.

If you make your goal, we can cheer each other on! And even if not, we can send positive vibes and look at what could be different for your next goal.

In this way, you make progress and learn along the way!

This community is a safe and supportive place to support your creative dream and finish projects. If you’re just getting started or find yourself stuck along the way of your latest work, this is for you.

Sign up for the Patreon to get access to the discord community today!

I believe there is a story in all of us, and I also believe you CAN write your story.

Most importantly,

Keep writing, and stay creative.
